Official rules
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE DOES NOT INCREASE THE ODDS OF WINNING BEYOND THE OPTIONAL BONUS ENTRIES DESCRIBED BELOW. VOID IN QUEBEC AND WHERE PROHIBITED. A mathematical skill-testing question is required.
These rules are written to follow the structure required for a Canadian chance promotion outside Quebec (Criminal Code lottery exceptions, no-purchase entry of equal dignity, skill-testing question, and Quebec exclusion so the contest is not offered in that province). Have qualified Canadian contest counsel review them before a public launch.
1. Sponsor
Tread Bros, Tread Bros Giveaway, 815 Intermodal Drive, Brampton, ON L6T 5W2. Contact: crew@treadbros.ca.
2. Eligibility
Open only to legal residents of Canada, excluding Quebec, who have reached the age of majority in their province or territory of residence (18 or older, or 19 in British Columbia, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, and the territories). Excluded: residents of Quebec; employees, officers, directors, and agents of the Sponsor and its suppliers; and members of their immediate household. One account per person.
3. Contest period
Starts 2026-08-17, 12:00:00 a.m. and ends 2026-10-31, 11:59:59 p.m. (America/Toronto). The random draw is scheduled for 2026-11-07, 12:00:00 p.m..
4. How to enter — no purchase necessary
There are two free ways to enter. Both require an eligible account:
- Wheel. On a first visit, an eligible person may spin once for 10, 25, 50, or 100 entries. Odds of each result: 10 entries 50%; 25 entries 30%; 50 entries 15%; 100 entries 5%. Entries are saved only if an account is created or a signed-in account claims the spin within 30 minutes.
- Free alternate method of entry (AMOE). Sign in and complete the online AMOE form at /giveaway, or mail a handwritten 3" × 5" card with your full name, mailing address, email, phone, province, and the words “Tread Bros $5,000 Fall Giveaway — AMOE” to Tread Bros Giveaway, 815 Intermodal Drive, Brampton, ON L6T 5W2. Mail-in requests must be postmarked by the contest end date and received within seven days. AMOE awards 100 entries — equal to the highest wheel result — with no purchase. Limit one AMOE per person.
5. Optional purchase entries
Eligible signed-in customers receive 25 additional entries for each tire on a paid Tread Bros order shipped to an eligible (non-Quebec) address during the contest period. Purchase is optional and is not required to enter or win. Guest checkouts do not receive purchase entries because they cannot be tied to an eligible account.
6. Prize
One prize of $5,000 CAD cash or electronic funds transfer. Approximate retail value $5,000 CAD. The prize is not transferable except as required by law. Winner is solely responsible for any taxes.
7. Odds
Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. More entries improve a person’s chance but do not guarantee a prize.
8. Winner selection and skill-testing question
One potential winner will be selected by random draw from all eligible entries. The potential winner will be contacted at the email on their account within five business days and will have five business days to reply, confirm eligibility, and correctly answer a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question without mechanical or electronic aid. Sample form: (18 × 6) + (45 ÷ 5) − 9. If they cannot be reached, are ineligible, or fail the question, another entry will be drawn.
9. Privacy
Personal information is used only to administer the contest, award the prize, and meet legal requirements. It is stored with the Tread Bros account records and is not sold.
10. Publicity
Except where prohibited, acceptance of the prize constitutes permission to use the winner’s first name, city, and province in a winner announcement.
11. Limitation of liability
Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, or misdirected entries, or for technical failures. By entering, participants agree to release Sponsor from claims arising out of participation or prize use, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
12. Governing law
The contest is governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, excluding Quebec’s promotional contest regime because the contest is not offered in Quebec.
13. Winner’s list
After the prize is awarded, a winner’s first name, city, and province may be requested by emailing crew@treadbros.ca with the subject “Winner list — Tread Bros $5,000 Fall Giveaway”.
